How To Access

Rooster Reader Premium opens up a world of possibilities in viewing the synchronized text ('Play audio' button) and synchronizing video and text ('Play video' button) under the 'listen' URL.

LingQ Audio Mode

LingQ Video Mode

Activating Rooster Reader for LingQ with Video Popup (3 Steps)

1. Navigate to "/reader/" mode In the LingQ web browser and click the “Play Video” button on the bottom left play button in Reader Mode:

2. Click the “Show synchronized text”/ "Play video" icon:

Mode Settings

Combined Line Scroll

Basic Information: View your studied language and translations with the ability to scroll through while your audio is playing.

Combined Replacement

Basic Information: View your studied language and translations as “frame-by-frame” versions while your audio is playing.

Line Scroll

Basic Information: Allows you to scroll through the text popups Rooster Reader for LingQ creates in Listen mode while your audio is playing.

Line Replacement

Basic Information: View the text popups Rooster Reader for LingQ creates in Listen mode as “frame-by-frame” versions while your audio is playing.

Display Settings

Themes

Japan Theme: Soft pick line highlighting on a white background with black text.

• Toggle Translation Display: Click this button to activate or turn your lesson's translation off. If you don't have a translation and need an English translation of your lesson, click the Translate to en button to have your lesson translated into English first.

• Disable Line Highlights: Click this button when you don’t want the translation text box to highlight the text as you listen to your synchronized text’s audio.

• Enable Line Highlights: Click this button to re-enable the default highlighting that occurs in the translation text box as you listen to your synchronized text’s audio.

• Toggle Extra Translation: Click this button when you want to study with an additional translation while listening to your content’s audio.

• Toggle LINGQ Display: Interact with the LingQ reader in Listen mode with the Rooster Reader in Master LingQ Premium. Click words, create LingQs, and mark LingQs known with this feature.

• Translate Lesson to en: Click this button to translate your lesson into English and display it in the translation box within Rooster Reader.

Font Settings

Note: Your font customization options will depend on which reader modes you use to view your lesson.

• Zoom: Increase and decrease the size of your entire text field at once.

• N: Font Size: Increase and decrease the size of your top line text.

• T: Font Size: Increase and decrease the size of your desired font type.

• Original Line Padding: Increase and decrease the spacing between words on your Studied Language.

Rooster Reader

Navigate to the Master Reader Premium support page by clicking the Extension Page button.
